E. Romaine Lakey was taken home August 17, 2015. He was born June 24, 1937 to Chris and Myrna Lakey in Soda Springs, Idaho. He lived in Soda Springs and Council, Idaho as well as Wallowa, Oregon, and last resided in Nampa, Idaho. He graduated from Wallowa High School and then was drafted in the Army in 1961, where he was stationed in Hawaii for his tour of duty. Romaine is survived by his best friend and loving wife Mary, his sons Kevin (Shannon) Shaver, Chris Burns; daughters Gina (Darin) McGuire and Rhonda St. George; sisters Bonnie (Red) Martin and Eva (Dick) Phillips; nine grandchildren, and many other family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
