John Albert Tarter, 63, was born to William Kennedy Tarter and Thelma Connard, August 27, 1952, and went home to his Father in Heaven, October 14, 21015. John was the youngest of three brothers, born in New York City. At the age of nine he moved with his family to southern California, where he remained for many years. John married the love of his life, Diane, in January 1975, with whom they had two children. Later, John lived in Yuma, Arizona and Meridian, Mississippi, before settling in Nampa, Idaho, to be closer to his children and grandchildren. John loved to play golf, spend time with his grandchildren, collect antiques, and play the guitar. It was common to find John on a golf course nearly every day, with a group of friends or family. He passed on surrounded by those he loved so dearly, in the comfort of his own home. John was preceded in death by his father, William, and mother, Thelma, and is survived by his brothers Thomas and William, his wife Diane, son Jason, daughter April, son-in-law Dane, daughter-in-law Jennifer, six grandchildren: Jacob, Abigail, Jesse, Nathan, Georgia and Harvey, and his beloved English Springer Spaniels, Henry and Winston.
