Rich Eugene Murphy, 78, June 4, 1942 - March 13, 2021, born in Nampa, Idaho to Thomas Franklin "Frank" Murphy and Verla Eurilla Rich Murphy. He is survived by Wilda Dee Bledsoe Murphy, his Eternal Companion of 55 years, married Jan 25, 1966; his kids: Penny (Daniel) Hall, Shane (JoDee), Kiska, B Jay (Silvia); grandchildren: Chance, Nathan, Makaylee, Brooke, Emma, Thomas and Josh; his sisters Cheryl (Mark) Billings & Marva Baird; and many more family members - too many to name. Rich was an active member and had many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served his mission in the Central States Mission. His favorite callings were working with the youth. Rich served in the National Guard for 16 years in Arizona, Idaho, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. He left the service at the rank of 1st Sergeant. Scouting played a major part in Rich's life. As a youth, he did not earn his Eagle. This motivated him to help others reach that Rank and their fullest potential. He never missed an opportunity to serve and help others grow to be the men and women they are today. Rich was also known for Dutch Oven cooking & Woodworking. A graveside Inurnment will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, at the Meridian Cemetery, 895 E. Franklin Road in Meridian. Thank you to all the medical personnel who have helped and served Rich during this long process. We will miss your wisdom, humor and love. Until we see you again, Love Ya.
