William "Bill" Joseph Campbell, Jr. 81, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021, at his home in Nampa, Idaho. Bill was born in Washington, Iowa on September 27, 1939 to W. Joseph and Josephine (nee Kovatch) Campbell. He was the middle child of three boys. The young Campbell family moved to Oceanside, California and then Vista, California. He attended Vista High School and furthered his education at Palomar College. He pursued several careers successfully: notably as an Architectural Designer for three decades in Arizona; rancher and horse breeder in Colorado and Idaho; and high achiever with the Mark McCarter Agency, Life USA; Capital Management Group; and Salmon River Resort Club. Bill was invited by Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, to head an evangelical crusade in Nevada where he led many to the Lord. In Idaho, as an avid outdoorsman, Bill was an active member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited. Artistically inclined, he created unique carvings on moose antlers, depicting Native American heritage scenes. His high-end knife making skills also warranted some well-deserved attention. Bill was predeceased by his parents and brothers Victor and Daniel. He carried on the family name with courage and distinction. He leaves behind to mourn his loving wife Eleonore "Lori"; daughters: Amanda, Andrea, Allison in Arizona, and Karen in Hawaii; four grandchildren; and a wide circle of family, friends and acquaintances both in Canada and the USA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6 at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the Melba Cemetery in Melba, Idaho.
